JUST
THE FACTS ON A SINGLE SALES TAX
|
|

|
|
According to the Ontario Chamber of Commerce "Ontario’s impending
move to a single sales tax is not the attack on
families and individuals some would have you believe. In fact, sales tax harmonization, in combination with the
other tax reduction measures announced in the
provincial budget, will reduce the amount of tax paid
by every Ontarian, and lead to a stronger economy that
provides greater job growth and prosperity for all."
The
Chamber answers some common objections to the new
Ontario Harmonized Tax due to take effect in July
2010.

TOGETHER WE DREAM CAMPAIGN
SURVEY DEADLINE LOOMS
|
|
|
There is only
a week left in the "Together We Dream"
campaign. If you have not completed the community survey
please go to www.togetherwedream.ca
to ensure your voice is heard. If you have completed the
survey please encourage your family, friends,
co-workers, and all your personal email contacts to
complete the survey by April 27th.
Why is this so
important? We want to know what's important to
you. We must focus our limited resources based on
research and identified community priorities.
Why now?
Despite our collective efforts many problems in our
community are growing. The results of Together We
Dream will help organizations across Windsor Essex
develop a coordinated plan. There's an old saying
that if you don't know where you're going, any road will
get you there. We want to do better than that.
We can do better than that.
Who is behind
Together We Dream? Several organizations are
involved in Together We Dream including the City of
Windsor
,
University
of
Windsor
,
County
of
Essex
, Police Services, and
United Way
. A complete list is available online at www.togetherwedream.ca.
Is there a
Deadline? The website will be up from April 13th
to April 27th.
